 Why?

Increased globalization!
New information technologies!
Cultural diversification and community breakdown!

How is Central Pennsylvania responding to today's dramatic changes?

One way is through the Central Pennsylvania Forum for the Future, a group of organizations, institutions, and private companies sharing an established interest in the future welfare of our region. The original Steering Committee came together in 1989 to chart a course that will help guide Central Pennsylvania into the next century with some measure of control over our own destiny.

 Objectives

  • To identify and understand the most pressing issues facing the region.
  • To develop a regional perspective for considering problems and opportunities.
  • To focus research and analysis of available information so as to illuminate the identified issues.
  • To increase the pace of effective innovation.
  • To advocate actions that will achieve results.
